- Notes: “Sofie Salonika” is a hybrid ensemble playing music from the Sephardic tradition, sung in Ladino and spiced with jazz improvisation and original compositions. Comprised of veteran musicians from the NYC jazz, improv and world music scene, “Sofie Salonika” delves into the roots of musical traditions from the Balkans, eastern Europe, and South America.
