- Notes: We are very excited about this year’s show which features Uptown Dance Collective artists Lisa Green, Navarra Novy-Williams, myself, and guest artists including poets Peter Bulow and Alison Stone and dance artists Shanik Garcia, Paul Thompson, Juan Usera, and Rishauna Zumberg, along with student dancers from The Center, a dance school in the heart of Washington Heights. Our wonderful musicians John Ehlis and Jessica Lurie are joining us for the fourth year, providing original compositions and live music for our dances. We hope that you can join us to celebrate National Dance Day with our program titled “Alterations and Repairs: Nature and Us”. Meet us at Dongan Lawn in Fort Tryon Park on September 19th at 3PM – near the park entrance at Dongan Place and Broadway. We will walk through the park together to view site-specific dances, music and poetry woven into the parkland. There will also be opportunities to learn and dance some Bomba and Samba.
