December happenings!

Ciao Tutti! December is getting chilly but there is a lot of events to keep you warm! Zion 80 will be recording and playing a couple more shows this month, as well as recording a new CD! I am working on new material for JLE as well as for the Tiptons, and a new Sephardic music project with Katie Down called Sophie Salonika, that will emerge in January!

Plate Tiptonics is the big-band inspiration of Tiptons Sax Quartet members Tina Richerson & Jessica Lurie, a collaboration with a stellar roster of NYC musicians, performing Tiptons’ tuners as well as originals penned by ensemble members, covering genres from micro-Big Band to Gospel, Bluegrass to Balkan, Whimsical Jazz to Nocturnal Funk. The band includes: Tina Richerson, Jessica Lurie, Matt Dariau, Katie Down, Art Baron, Pam Fleming, Stefan Zeniuk, Ben Syverson, Sarah Ferholt, Rebecca Buxton and more!

Tiptons Sax Quartet will play a benefit fundraising concert for the incredible Studio East Training for the Performing Arts in a lovely 150 seat theater in their new facility. We look forward to filling the theater with music lovers.
